About Us
A little Q&A!
What kind of indie games do you make?
They're typically short, casual games, but they could potentially be in any genre.
To start with, we pick a style of game, or a specific old game we like, and we ask ourselves what we can do to make our version interesting and different from the original and other similar games we've seen.
For example, our first game was partly inspired by the old Asteroids game, reimagined as a vertical scrolling shooter. The old vertical scrolling shooters typically have you die from a single hit, and both these and Asteroids usually only have you protect yourself, not really caring about how many enemies you let through.
So in our game, we gave you a HP bar, and the story is that you're protecting a space station, which has shields, but they don't regenerate fast enough to tank all of the asteroid hits. This adds some strategic decision-making, since you need to balance how much risk you take to try and destroy as many asteroids as possible with how many asteroids you let pass through, so that neither your ship or the space station gets destroyed.
How big is your team?
At the moment, we have one full-time developer and many artists and consultants who step in punctually.
What is your next game going to be, and when is it coming out?
You'll find information on the games we have announced so far on the Games page. Follow our socials fhe latest updates!
I'd like to know about something which isn't covered here, how can I reach you?
Use the form on our Contact page, and if the answer to your question is likely to be of interest to others we'll add it to this Q&A!
Will you ever make some bigger games?
Naturally, as we work on our games, many ideas come to mind as to how we could keep expanding upon the base idea, but most of the time, we opt to keep each game within the initial scope.
That isn't to say that those ideas go to waste, however., While we do plan to make the occasional larger game, we are also likely to make sequels to many of our titles. Those are where we'll explore new possibilities, as well as popular fan requests, so let us know what you'd like to see next!
